Vegetative Bar Light Versions
The flowering bar lights are biased on the blue end of the spectrum, making it perfect for all leafy greens and plants that need to remain the vegetative stage before initiating flowering.
Macro and Micro Versions
The flower bar lights are divided into two main categories - macro and micro.
The Macro version provides the main spectra for the flowering stage. The Macro Spectrum includes the major blue and red bandwidths are readily absorbed by plants, making it easier for them to photosynthesize.
The Micro version, on the other hand, provides the more secondary spectra needed for the flowering stage. The Micro Spectrum includes the bandwidths used by plants in lesser amounts -- oranges, yellows, greens, IR, and UV.
The Macro version has the main spectrums needed for more robust flowering while the Micro version provides the secondary spectrums to round out a more complete spectrum is using multiple bar lights over just one area.
Lean more toward the 'A' spectrum bar lights to add supplemental light to a greenhouse or indoor grow. For a multiple lights setup, or if you're using the bar lights as the primary light source to light a vertical or hydroponic setup, use one 'B' bar light for every two 'A' bar lights. The ratio should be 2 to 1 of 'A' to 'B.'
Coverage area and hanging height
The bar lights' footprint is relative to the overall length of light used. For example, at a 12" hanging height, the usable light will extend out from the edges of the bar light by about 3 to 6 inches. The spacing between the bars then would be about 6 to 12 inches apart. This spacing would work well for all primary lighting applications that deal with average light use plants, like the leafy greens. If used as supplemental lighting, however, the spacing would be determined by some factors like the current lighting setup, position of lighting, and light requirements.

LED Lights vs. HPS Lights
Kind LED grow lights use only about half the electricity as HPS lights, and produce much more yield per watt. Many studies have even show an increase in oil production and quality, closer inter-nodal spacing, and denser fruits and flowers. Also, because Kind LED grow lights produce less heat, they do not need to be air-cooled like HPS lights, therefore eliminating the need for additional fans, which also makes them run quieter. Kind LED lights run cool, so cool in fact, that no additional temperature control equipment is needed besides the internal circulation fans. LED lights are made up of many small LEDs, or light emitting diodes, that each project one specific wavelength of the electromagnetic scale. We interpret this as the visible (although sometimes invisible) color of a diode. Plants use and absorb an array of colors from 400nm to 700nm in order to carry out photosynthesis. |Closed Loop Air-Cooled Lighting||Filter to Light to Exhaust||The air-cooled lighting system should ALWAYS be separated from your exhaust system as it is in SuperCloset systems. This creates greater flexibility with your grows, including the ability to administer CO2 and to gain better control over the temperature of your light and system. In the winter months, you are able to turn one of the fans off to heat up your cabinet, or in the summer time, turn both fans on, thus cooling your lights. Unless in extremely low temperatures, your HID light should ALWAYS be cooled or it will create dangerously high temperatures inside of your system. However, you do not want your exhaust fan on during CO2 dispensing because the CO2 will exit the system before the plants are able to effectively utilize it. Filter to light to exhaust designs do not permit you to cool your light while not exhausting, therefore making CO2 administration an impossibility. This is a cheap and lazy design, which we abandoned over 8 years ago because of these issues, that our competitors have somehow overlooked. |SuperCool Tube Reflector||No Tube or Cheap Imitation||Not all glass is tempered the same and you definitely do not want to try to cool a large chamber of hot air around the bulb due to the fact that it is ineffective and inefficient.
